Bitter Apricot Kernel
Bitter kernel for cosmetic oil and industrial use.
The sweet apricot kernel is the edible inner part obtained after the hard shell of the apricot pit is cracked and separated; with its naturally sweet aroma it is used as an almond substitute in chocolate, bakery and snack production and supplied in calibrated batches.
The sweet apricot kernel is the edible inner part, with a naturally sweet aroma, taken out by cracking the hard shell of the pit separated after apricot processing. Because of its almond-like look and flavor profile, it finds wide use as an almond substitute in the food industry. Malatya’s high apricot volume ensures the kernel separated from the shell is supplied regularly and steadily. Sorted into calibre groups, the kernel is prepared raw or roasted for the domestic market and export. To avoid mixing with the bitter kernel, the sweet and bitter batches are kept separate throughout processing.

In selection, the intended use is clarified first: a direct snack, or an almond substitute in a bakery/chocolate recipe? The calibre, raw/roasted preference and packaging (bulk, sack, vacuum pouch, carton) are set accordingly. If moisture tolerance and clean-kernel ratio matter in the buyer’s recipe, these values are clarified via a sample; if requested, we arrange for it to be sent to an independent laboratory.
The sweet kernel is suitable for direct consumption and food production; the bitter kernel is a different type and is supplied for cosmetic/industrial purposes.
It is supplied raw or roasted to request.
